Apraos or Kalamaki is a quiet beach in northwestern Corfu. Its clean, crystal water , the long sandy beach with white sand , the peaceful and shallow water make it the ideal beach for quiet family holidays.
Kalamaki or Apraos is a quiet beach resort,with crystal water situated between Agios Spiridon and Kassiopi. Down a winding narrow and extremely steep road you will find the sandy beach stretching across the bay of kalamaki. The view here is across to Albania. Many boat trips stop at this sandy beach making it popular during the summer months. Kalamaki is a child friendly beach it is away from the road and flat also the water is shallow and shelves off gently. In fact you have to wade out about 50 meters before it is deep enough to swim! 3 restaurants overlooking the beach at Kalamaki, serve typical Greek cuisine. Two beach bars line Kalamaki beach, they both serve drinks and snacks and are open during the evening. Sun beds as well as umbrellas are widely available on Kalamaki beach for small charge. |
